SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Sean Amaru (Westwood, Mass.) has been honored as the Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC Football) Offensive of the Week while Marc Mrozek (Stratford, Conn.) Special Teams Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Sunday morning. The duo helped the Curry College football team stay perfect in CCC Football play with a 17-7 victory over Endicott on Saturday afternoon. The victory moved the Colonels to 7-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
Amaru picked up 140 yards on the ground for Curry in their CCC Football win over Endicott on Saturday. He rushed 27 times for an average of 5.2 yards per rush.
Mrozek had another perfect week in the kicking game for the Colonels. He helped Curry defeat Endicott by scoring five points, including a 29-yard field goal in the second quarter. He also converted his two extra point tries. Mrozek also punted the ball four times, averaging 38.3 yards per kick, pinning the Gulls inside their 20 once.
Amaru, Mrozek and the Colonels return to action on Saturday when they host Western New England in a CCC Football showdown at 1:00 p.m.
