SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Alex Corvese (Cranston, R.I.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Football Offensive Player of the Week for the fifth time this season, as announced by the league office on Sunday morning. Corvese earns the honor after he led the Colonels to a 37-20 victory over Salve Regina on Saturday afternoon as Curry closed out the regular season with an 8-2 overall record and a 4-1 mark in the inaugural season of CCC Football.
Corvese closed out the first-year of CCC Football with a huge game. He completed 25 of his 33 passes for a 75.8 percent completion percentage with five of his attempts resulting in scores. He also threw for 347 yards and rushed for 31 in the victory.
Corvese and the Colonels await their postseason fate, which will be announced later Sunday afternoon.
