Tonight's contest marked the 72nd all-time meeting between Nichols and Curry. The Bison ran their win streak against the Colonels to eight but trail the all-time series, 26-44-2.

1 – Nichols senior Alex Larson (Madison, Ala.) – stopped 31 of 32 shots to earn his 13th win of the season; stopped all 10 he faced in the third period; picked up second assist on GWG
2 – Nichols senior Shane Totten (Traverse City, Mich.) – scored the game-winning goal at 9:53 of the second period, his third of the season
3 – Nichols sophomore Scott Cuthrell (Waterford, Mich.) – potted his sixth goal of the season and the team's third short-handed goal of the season at 7:20 of the second period
Larson turned aside 31 of 32 shots and Cuthrell and Totten scored as the Bison scored their second 2-1 win of the season over the Colonels Wednesday night in Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Northeast play. Nichols has now won two-straight and three of its last four.

With the Bison leading 1-0 in the second, Larson stopped freshman Zachery White (Milford, Conn.) on a backhand shot from the top of the crease to preserve the lead. Shortly thereafter, Totten doubled the Bison's lead.
-Senior Tyler Beasley (Indianapolis, Ind.) was credited with the primary apple on Totten's goal, moving him into sole possession of fifth place on the program's all-time assist list with 76.
-Junior Brett Sinclair (St. Catherines, Ontario) made 14 saves for the Colonels and fell to 8-10-1 with the loss.
