MILTON, Mass. - Curry College senior guard Ashley Assarian (Chicopee, Mass.) has been named as Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week for the period ending February 8.
Assarian helped lead the Colonels to a 3-0 week, including a 2-0 mark in conference play. Assarian established a school record for three-point percentage in a game, as she went 6-of-6 from behind the arc on her way to netting a career-high 25 points in a 75-69 win over Mass.-Dartmouth.
The senior then recorded 24 points, five rebounds, four steals, and one assist in a 68-58 victory over Gordon. Earlier in the week, the guard scored 11 points, earned four steals, gathered one rebound, and dished one assist in a 50-49 win over Nichols.
For the week, Assarian averaged 20 points, while shooting 69% (18-of-26) from the field and an impressive 74% (14-of-19) from behind the arc.
