Stott and Ladner Garner CCC Weekly Honors

MILTON, Mass.- Freshman Megan Ladner (Bourne, Mass.) and Senior Morgan Stott (Dartmouth, Mass.) of the Curry Women's Soccer team earned weekly Commonwealth Coast Conference honors.

Ladner was named as CCC "Rookie of the Week". She registered the game-tying goal in the Colonel's CCC Quarterfinal victory over No. 4 seed University of New England. The tally helped spark a come-from-behind upset victory to earn No. 5 seed Curry a spot in the CCC Semifinals. She also had an assist in the Curry's regular season finale against Eastern Nazarene.

Stott was named as CCC "Defensive Player of the Week" for the second week in a row.  She made 13 saves in Curry's CCC Quarterfinal road win over the No. 4 seed University of New England on Saturday (Oct. 29). Seven of Stott's saves came in the second half including a key diving stop with just two minutes left in regulation preserving the upset victory. Earlier in the week she also earned the win against Eastern Nazarene during the Colonels regular season finale.

Ladner, Stott and the  No. 5 seed Colonels will host eight-seeded Gordon on Tuesday, November 1 at 6:30 p.m. at Walter M. Katz Field.
