Steve Scott concluded his second season as the programs' Defensive Coordinator in 2018. Scott helped turn around the Curry defense, as the Colonels only allowed an average of 21.3 points per game.
Scott returns to the Curry sideline as the team’s defensive coordinator after serving as the defensive backs coach under Skip Bandini from 2008-10. He brings a wealth of coaching experience both at the high school and college level. Scott’s previous coaching stops include Mount Ida College (Linebackers coach), UMass Boston (Linebacker and Defensive Backs coach), Whitman-Hanson Regional High School (Assistant Coach/Defensive Coordinator), Silver Lake Regional and Plymouth North High Schools (Assistant Coach).
Scott was raised in Hanson, Mass., where he attended Whitman-Hanson Regional High School where he played under Coach Bob Bancroft. He then went on to play four seasons at Plymouth State College as an outside linebacker. He is a 1993 graduate of PSC with a B.A. in Computer Information Systems.
Scott resides in Hanson with his wife Mary, daughter Sydney, and son Sam. He also works as an independent insurance adjuster.
