SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Student-athletes from 10 different institutions in The Commonwealth Coast Conference were represented on the 2011 All-TCCC Baseball Team, announced by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. The honorees included Curry College senior catcher Brad Hawn (First Team), sophomore outfielder Sam Barron (Second Team), and freshman outfielder Kyle Connors (Honorable Mention).

In addition to the all-conference team, winners of five major individual awards and the team sportsmanship award were also selected. Western New England senior Ryan Dudzinski was selected TCCC Player of the Year, Endicott junior Benjamin Petrides was named TCCC Pitcher of the Year, Endicott freshman Jake Northrup was chosen TCCC Rookie of the Year, Anna Maria’s Jeff Landers was honored as TCCC Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year, Roger Williams’ Derek Carlson and Western New England’s Matt LaBranche were selected as TCCC Co-Coach of the Year, and Eastern Nazarene College was the recipient of the Team Sportsmanship Award.

Voting for the All-TCCC team and each of the major awards was conducted among TCCC baseball coaches.
       
Joining Northrup (first baseman), Dudzinski (designated hitter) and Petrides on the first team were catcher Brad Hawn (Curry),  second baseman Mike Rubino (Western New England), third baseman Tom Glynn (Salve Regina), shortstop Alexander Melcher (Salve Regina), outfielders Matt Anthonis (Western New England), Matt Capone (Salve Regina) and Colin Sitarz (Endicott), and pitchers Mark DiTommaso (Western New England), and Matt Rogers (Western New England).

Second team selections included catcher Jason Leclerc  (Western New England), first baseman Luke Matthews (Eastern Nazarene), second baseman Eric Lemke (Endicott), third baseman Danny Mello (Endicott), shortstop Kyle McKelvey (Western New England), outfielders Sam Barron (Curry), Lucas Burgess (New England College), Mike Guarnieri (Anna Maria), designated hitter Trevor Manzi (Roger Williams), and pitchers Evan Michaud (Western New England), Josh Orocz (Roger Williams), and Brendan Pittsley (Endicott).

Receiving honorable mention were catcher Ryan Delgado (Wentworth), first basemen Ben Danker (Wentworth) and Mike Taylor (Western New England), second baseman Andy Fallon (Anna Maria), third baseman Justin Martin (Colby-Sawyer), shortstops Connor Flisnik (Curry) and John Oppenhimer  (Roger Williams), outfielders Kyle Connors (Curry), Jeff Scafidi (Anna Maria), and Jon Spitz (Wentworth), designated hitter Phillip Crowley (New England College), and pitchers Charles Matarazzo (Salve Regina), Pat Quinn (Salve Regina), and Zach Rafferty (Anna Maria).
