Milton, MA - The Conference of New England released their weekly awards on Monday, and Curry Baseball's #13 Jorge Rodriguez earned Rookie of the Week honors. Rodriguez has played in 10 games so far as a Freshman, and is currently third on the team in batting average with a .364. This past week, in four games, Jorge hit .412, with five extra base hits (XBH), and drove in six runs. Two of his five extra base hits were home runs, as he now has a team leading three on the season. The team posted a 3-1 record on the week, including Saturday's doubleheader sweep against Johnson & Wales. Additionally, the award is the first time a Colonel baseball player has received a weekly award honor, dating back to the 2022 season.
