Peter Roundy Recognized at AHCA Convention
Milton, MA - Earlier this month Curry Men's Hockey coach Peter Roundy was presented with the 2025 Edward Jeremiah Award by the AHCA, as the Division III Coach of the Year. Announced in March, the award was given to Roundy at the AHCA Convention in Bonita Springs, FL.
"I'm honored to be the recipient of the Edward Jeremiah Award. It is humbling to be in the company of so many great coaches. We had an incredible season this year and that success was truly a team effort," said Roundy. "I want to thank our Athletic Director Vinnie Eruzione and the administration for their support. I am fortunate to be surrounded by a great coaching staff, Mike Sones and Clay Adams, who are passionate, detailed, and put our players first. Our players commitment and dedication pushed us to new heights. They love coming to the rink every day and working hard and it makes for a very enjoyable coaching experience. I am grateful for the recognition."
Roundy led the Colonels to their first conference championship since 2011, the #1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, the first Frozen Four appearance in program history, and a post-1996 program record 17 game win streak.
"It is quite an honor to be named National Coach of the Year. It takes a lot of hard work from all involved, assistant coaches, players, and support staff," said Curry Athletic Director Vinnie Eruzione. "Coach Roundy and his staff deserve all the accolades on a tremendous season and I wish him and the team nothing but continued success moving forward."
In addition to the AHCA recognition, Roundy was also named the USCHO Coach of the Year, as well as the CNE's Coach of the Year.
