Beverly, MA - The Curry Men's Hockey team was defeated by Endicott on Saturday by a final score of 4-2. The Colonels are now 15-7-0 on the season and 12-5-0 in CNE play. The Gulls are now 16-3-2 and 11-3-2.
The Gulls jumped out to an early lead with a goal just over two minutes into the game. They then doubled their lead seven minutes later. But the Colonels responded less than a minute later with a Grady Friedman goal to make it 2-1. Friedman then tied things up just 32 seconds into the second period. But the Gulls would regain the lead later in the second, and despite the Colonels best efforts, the Gulls would clinch the win with an empty net goal with a little over a minute left in the game.
Making just his third career start, Ryan Rhodes stopped 29 of the 32 shots he faced.
The Colonels were outshot 33 to 19, and lost the faceoff battle 40 to 24.
Up Next - After losing consecutive games for the first time in four years, and being swept by an opponent during a weekend series for the first time in five years, the Colonels will look to bounce back at Nichols on Friday at 4:40pm.
