SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Devin Newell (Medford, Mass.) of the Curry College men's lacrosse team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Newell registered 14 points in Curry's 2-0 week against non-conference opponents. He scored eight goals and dished out six assists. He started the week with a hat trick against Southern Maine in a 19-6 win. He also picked up two assists in the contest. Newell then registered a career-high nine points against Norwich as he scored five goals and handed out four helpers. Newell put 85.7 percent of his shots-on-goal this week including all eight of his shots against the Cadets.

Newell and the Colonels open CCC play on Tuesday, March 27 at Western New England at 7:00 p.m.
