Albany, NY - The Curry Men's Lacrosse team fell 10-7 on Wednesday to Plattsburgh, dropping to 0-2 on the season, while the Cardinals move to 3-0.
Curry struck first six minutes in on a Harry Michaud unassisted goal, but three straight goals from Plattsburgh made it 3-1. Not to be outdone, the Colonels then scored three goals in a 28 second stretch in the second quarter to take a 4-3 lead. Those goals were scored by Jed Cappuccino, Donovan Mawhinney, and Nicholas Cole. The Cardinals answered right back with four straight goals, and a Mawhinney goal in the final minute of the half made it 7-5 at the break. Each team scored one goal in the third, with the Colonels goal being scored by Kai Johnson. Curry wasn't able to make the comeback, scoring just once in the fourth, a Bryce Hagerty goal.
Nick Flanigan led the team with four ground balls, while Niko DeCola made 15 saves on 25 shots in net.
Up Next - The Colonels will travel to Southern Maine on Sunday for a 1pm game.
