WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The Curry College men's soccer team wrapped up its 2025 Conference of New England (CNE) season on Tuesday night with a 3–0 road setback to the University of Hartford at Al-Marzook Field. Despite a strong defensive start, the Colonels couldn't slow a second-half surge from the Hawks, who improved to 10–5–2 overall and 6–3–1 in conference play.
Hartford opened the scoring midway through the first half when Austin Murawski found the back of the net in the 25th minute, finishing a pass from Cameron Tedesco. The hosts continued to apply pressure throughout the half, but Curry's defense, anchored by Ryan Koster, Ryan Treacy, and Christopher Rochefort, limited further damage before the break.
In the second half, Hartford's offense found its rhythm. Ron Palillo doubled the Hawks' lead in the 58th minute, converting off assists from David Czubat and Murawski to make it 2–0. Just six minutes later, Murawski struck again, burying his second goal of the night off a feed from Eddie Hageman to extend the advantage to 3–0.
Curry (3–13–2, 1–9–0) battled to generate scoring opportunities but was unable to break through against a disciplined Hartford back line. Kaden Puglia, Jose Comella, Jacob Nance, and Claudio Laquale each registered shots on goal for the Colonels, but Hawks goalkeeper Ryan Lunn turned away all four attempts to preserve the clean sheet in his season debut.
The Colonels split time between two goalkeepers—Brendan Cunningham started the first half and conceded one goal, while Justin Ritz made two saves in the second half. Curry finished with five total shots compared to Hartford's 16, while the Hawks also held a 7–1 edge in corner kicks.
With the result, the ended the season falling outside of the seeding needed to make the playoffs. However, they do look ahead to a final non-conference matchup which is set to be hosted on Walter M. Katz Field on Halloween Night at 6:30 PM.
