MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College men's soccer team ended its 2025 campaign on a high note Friday evening, earning a 3–1 victory over Fisher College at Walter M. Katz Field. The Colonels struck twice in the opening half and added an insurance goal late to secure their fifth win of the season.

Curry (5–13–2) wasted little time setting the tone. In the 19th minute, Freshman midfielder Joseph Ruffino opened the scoring, capitalizing on a loose ball at the top of the box to give the Colonels a 1–0 lead. The hosts doubled their advantage in the 35th minute when Lucas Drons fired home a shot to make it 2–0. The goal marked the Senior's fourth on the year and puts him now second all-time in Colonels history with 37 career goals; breaking a previous tie with Bruce Whitney (36). 

Fisher (10–5–1) began to find its footing after the break and pulled one back in the 57th minute when Leonardo Di Biase scored off a pass from Santiago Blancuzzi, cutting the deficit to 2–1. The Falcons continued to apply pressure, outshooting Curry 15–4 in the second half, but the Colonels' goalkeeping tandem held firm.

Senior goalkeeper Brendan Cunningham started the match and was sharp early, turning aside six shots in the first half. Justin Ritz took over after halftime and made nine saves over the final 45 minutes to preserve the win. Combined, the pair totaled 15 stops against 16 shots on goal in one of the team's strongest defensive efforts of the season.

Curry sealed the result in the 83rd minute when Malcom Kawuba converted a pass from Ruffino to restore the two-goal cushion and close out the 3–1 victory. For Kawuba, this was his first and only goal of his career, coming in his last collegiate soccer game. Ruffino finished with a goal and an assist, while Kawuba and Drons each added a goal apiece.

The Falcons outshot Curry 28–11 and held a 6–1 edge in corner kicks, but the Colonels made the most of their chances and executed efficiently in the final third. The win provided a positive conclusion to Curry's 2025 season, showcasing the team's resilience and progress while sending its seniors out with a memorable home victory.
