Milton, MA - The Curry men's tennis team snapped a seven year long losing streak on Thursday, beating Lesley 7-0, ending the season 1-19. The Colonels had lost 87 straight matches, going back to a win over the Salve Regina on April 23, 2019.
The Colonels picked up the doubles points with wins in the #2 and #3 spots. Brady Antaya and Carson Bakunas won the #2 battle 6-0, and Maitreya Abend and Jacob Adler won the #3 match 6-3.
The Colonels then swept the singles matches, headlined by Jake Perrotte in the #4 spot, winning 6-0, 6-0. Brady Antaya and Maitreya Abend each won their singles matches 6-0, 6-1. Carson Bakunas won his #1 singles match 6-1, 6-0. The remaining two matches saw Eric Flyn win 6-2, 6-0, and Jacob Adler 7-5, 6-4.
