Beverly, MA - The Curry Men's Volleyball team fell in the NEVC finale at Endicott on Friday in four sets, losing 25-18, 25-14, 22-25, 25-17. The Colonels are now 13-14 on the season, and 1-6 in NEVC play. The Gulls are now 19-3 and 7-0.
The Gulls slowly built up a lead in the first set before pulling away, and then dominated the second set to go up 2-0. Despite trailing in the third, the Colonels found some momentum and made a come back. They would score the final five points of the set to take it 25-22. But Endicott would dominate the fourth set to take the match.
Chris Milfort led the team with 11 kills, one more than Brock Beggs' 10, and two more than Nicholas Watson's nine. Nyko Whitaker collected 33 set assists. Beggs posted his first career double-double by having a team high 11 digs.
Up Next - The Colonels will wrap up their season on Saturday when they host a tri-match with Sage and Fisher.
