DiMuzio Named as TCCC and NEISCA Player of the Week
MILTON, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) and New England Intercollegiate Softball Association (NEISCA) has honored Curry College softball player Alysia DiMuzio for her performance during the week of March 23-29:
Senior first baseman Alysia DiMuzio (Quincy, Mass.) batted .500 (8-for-16) with three home runs, 10 RBI and six runs scored as the Colonels recorded a 3-2 weekly record.
DiMuzio collected multiple hits in three games and hit safely in four contests over the week. In the second game of a doubleheader over Salve Regina, DiMuzio slugged a pair of home runs, including a three-run walk off blast in the bottom of the seventh inning to secure a 7-5 win. She drove in five runs. DiMuzio clubbed another home run en route to a three-RBI showing in a 12-2 win in the nightcap of a doubleheader at UNE.
Through 13 games this season, DiMuzio is batting .381 with three home runs and 12 RBI. Curry has a 5-8 record overall and is 2-2 in the TCCC.
