SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The fourth-seeded Curry College Softball Team was eliminated from the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament after falling to #3 Endicott, 3-2, on Thursday afternoon at American International College. The Colonels end their season at 13-19.
After falling behind 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Curry plated single runs in the fourth and fifth innings to tie the score at 2-2. The runs came home on RBI hits by sophomore Marissa Bruno and freshman April Adams. The Gulls would get the game-winning run in the bottom of the sixth on a throwing error.
Senior Taylor Ahearn was the tough-luck loser, allowing one earned run, seven hits and two walks, while striking out four over six innings.
