Softball Drops Two to RWU
Team Stats
Game 2
Roger Williams
Bristol, RI - The Curry Softball team fell in both games of their doubleheader with Roger Williams on Wednesday, falling to 10-12 on the season, and 3-5 in CNE play. The Hawks are now 15-9 and 6-2.
Game One
Game one was an absolute pitcher's duel, with Jillian Rogers in the circle for the Colonels. Her and RWU pitcher Raegen Germano went back and forth, putting up zeroes on the scoreboard. The difference ended up coming in the sixth, when the Hawks scored on an RBI single. That would be the only run of the game.
Rogers was excellent pitching, striking out eight in six innings, and allowing just five hits with the one run. The Colonels had four hits, with two from Morgan Barmash.
Game Two
Game two did not go Curry's way, as they would fall 10-0, with RWU scoring in every inning. Renee Gonneville had a triple for the Colonels.
Up Next - The Colonels will be on the road for a pair of CNE matchups this weekend, starting with Nichols on Saturday.
