Biddeford, ME - The Curry Softball team travelled to Maine to take on UNE on Saturday, and fell in both games of the doubleheader. They lost game one 2-1, and then game two 11-3. The Colonels are now 8-15 on the season, and 2-7 in CNE play. The Nor'easters are now 12-9 and 6-5.
Game One
The Nor'easters scored two runs in the first to go up 2-0, and it stayed that way until the fifth. The Colonels cut the lead in half with a run off an error. But that would be the only scoring in the game.

Morgan Barmash pitched all six innings for the Colonels, allowing four hits and two earned runs.
Game Two
The Colonels jumped out of the gate, scoring three runs in the first inning. The first on a Skylar Colburn RBI single. She then scored on an Olivia Roy ground out. The third run came in on a Kassidy Lobb triple. But it was all UNE from there, as they scored in each of the five innings played, eventually getting ahead by eight for a run rule win.
The Colonels had five hits, all by different players. Lobb was handed the loss in the circle after starting and going three innings, allowing eight hits and three earned runs.
Up Next - The Colonels will host WNE on Sunday for a doubleheader at 12pm.
