Beverly, MA - The Curry softball team fell in both games of their doubleheader at Endicott on Saturday, losing game one 10-2, and game two 5-0. The Colonels are now 10-20 on the year, and 3-11 in CNE play. The Gulls are now 16-9 and 10-2.
Game One
The Colonels got out to an early lead in the second on an Ana Tsonis solo home run. But it was short lived, as the Gulls scored two in the bottom half of the inning. Skylar Colburn tied things back up in the third on n RBI single, but it was all Gulls from there, as they scored the next eight runs to win 10-2.
The Colonels had three hits, the two RBI hits, and an Olivia Roy double.
Tsonis was handed the loss in the circle, pitching five innings, and allowing five earned runs on seven hits. She struck out three batters.
Game Two
The Gulls did all the scoring in this one, scoring once in the third, and twice in both the fifth and sixth to win 5-0.
The Colonels had two hits in the game, singles by Morgan Barmash and Skylar Colburn.
Morgan Barmash pitched 5.2 innings, allowing nine hits and four earned runs, striking out four.
Up Next - The Colonels will host Suffolk on Tuesday at 3pm.
