Milton, MA - The Curry softball team split their CNE doubleheader on Tuesday, beating Suffolk in game one 4-1, and then falling in game two 10-1. The Colonels are now 11-21 on the season, and 4-12 in CNE play. The Rams are now 16-15 and 7-7.
Game One
The Colonels struck first with two runs in the second inning on a Renee Gonneville single. They then doubled their lead in the fifth, the first run on a throwing error on a steal attempt. Then Ana Tsonis singled home the other, making it 4-0.
The Rams would score one run in the seventh, and have the tying run at the plate with one out, but the Colonels were able to get the next two batters, and close out the win.

Barmash also pitched a complete game in the circle, allowing seven hits and just the one earned run. She struck out four batters.
Game Two
After Suffolk scored three runs in the top half of the first inning, the Colonels responded with a run on a Morgan Barmash RBI double to center field. But that was all the Colonels could muster in this one, and the Rams scored seven runs over the last three innings to pull away.

Kassidy Lobb fell to 4-11 on the season in the circle, going four innings and allowing eight hits and five earned runs.
