Softball Gets Swept by Beacons

Boston, MA - The Curry softball team was swept in a doubleheader by UMass Boston on Thursday, falling in game one 9-2, and game two 12-0. The Colonels are now 11-23 on the season, while the Beacons are now 18-10.
Game One
The Beacons built up a 3-0 lead after two innings, and the Colonels responded with two runs in the third. They came on a ground out and an error, making it 3-2. But the Beacons scored six runs over the next three innings, including four in the fourth, making it 9-2.
The Colonels had seven hits, all singles by seven different players.
Kassidy Lobb was handed the loss, pitching 3.1 innings, allowing 10 hits and six earned runs.
Game Two
The Beacons scored three runs in the first, and then really opened things up with nine runs in the third to make it 12-0.
The Colonels had four hits in the game, two singles from Kailey Collins-Fiore, a single from Lindsay DesRoberts, and a double by Izzy Henderson.
Morgan Barmash was handed the loss after going 2.1 innings, and allowing five hits and six earned runs.
Up Next - The Colonels will travel to Gordon on Saturday for a 12pm DH.
