Colonels Defeat Leopards on Senior Day
February 7, 2026
Milton, MA - The Curry women's basketball team earned a 67-55 victory over Wentworth on Senior Day on Saturday afternoon. Multiple players contributed to the victory, including many of the 2026 senior class.
Prior to the start of the game, Curry's senior class of four players, in addition to team manager Jack Dunn, were honored for their commitment to the program. Leading the class is Lauren Dunn, one of the most accomplished players in program history, who ranks among Curry's all-time leaders in scoring, assists, free-throw percentage, and three-pointers made. Her 1,231 points is currently fifth all-time, with her being top-10 across several other categories. Emma Burke, Ellery Campbell, and Libby Harris have each contributed in meaningful ways during their time in a Colonel's uniform, bringing depth, versatility, and leadership to the roster. Additionally, Jack Dunn, twin brother to Lauren, also joined the ceremony as he has been with the team as their manager for all four years at Curry.
The Colonels, through ten minutes, were able to hold a slight 13-12 lead despite a 10-point first quarter from Wentworth's Taylor Garabedian. In the second period, however, Curry's defense tightened, holding Wentworth to just eight points in the frame, while the offense found its rhythm. A balanced scoring effort led by Ella Palanza boosted the Colonels to a 27-20 halftime lead.
Curry continued to build on that gap in the third quarter, outscoring the opponents 17–14. This included seven points from Dunn, as the Colonels held a double-digit lead into the final quarter. Down the stretch, the team executed from the line (6-for-7) and continued to win on the boards, which secured the home win.
Lauren Dunn provided a steady presence throughout, finishing with 12 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and four steals, while Ella Palanza matched her with 12 points on an efficient 5-of-9 shooting effort. Kasey Reeves added 10 points and six assists, and Grace Fleuriel flirted with a double-double (nine points, eight rebounds). Additionally, seniors Ellery Campbell and Libby Harris each added buckets.
Wentworth was led by Taylor Garabedian's game-high 22 points and 10 rebounds. Grace Moltenbrey also added 15 points for the Leopards.
Up Next: The Colonels hit the road again, travelling to Hartford, Connecticut to take on the Red Hawks on Wednesday, February 11th.
