CANTON, Mass. - The Curry College women's ice hockey team was shut out 7-0 by #10 Endicott College Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at the Canton Ice House.
With the loss, Curry falls to 3-16-1 overall on the season, and 1-11-1 in the CCC.
Quin Healy, Courtney Sullivan, and Kat Keith all scored in a span of just 1:34 late in the first period to give the visiting Gulls a 3-0 edge after one period.
Sullivan found the back of the net again eight and a half minutes into the second period, followed by goals from Jess Burwell and Kaylee Liberty late in the frame as Endicott took a 6-0 lead into the second intermission.
Kellie Popkin netted the final goal of the contest early in the third period, giving the game its final score of 7-0.
Curry rookie netminder Anna Langton (Zimmerman, Minn.) turned away 48 shots in the defeat. The Gulls outshot the Colonels by a margin of 55-12.
Next up for Curry, they will take on Nichols at home on Friday night. Puck drop from the Canton Ice House is scheduled for 7 p.m.
