Lacrosse and Men’s Tennis Earn CNE Awards
Several men’s and women’s lacrosse and men’s tennis athletes earned CNE postseason awards.
The Conference of New England league offices recently announced that several men's and women's lacrosse and men's tennis athletes earned postseason awards.
Juniors Joey Pinto and Kyle Bouley earned Third Team All-Conference honors for their outstanding seasons and contributions to the Curry men's lacrosse team. Pinto led the team with 62 groundballs while causing 30 turnovers, second only to Bouley, who caused 32 while scooping up 53 ground balls. Mac Kline was named to the Community Service Team, leading the team with 30 goals while adding four assists.
Four women's lacrosse players were recognized by the CNE, including Meagan Young, who was named Scholar Athlete of the Year. Defender Sarah Joseph was named Second Team All-CNE, leading the squad with 45 groundballs and 30 caused turnovers. Natalie Keenan, who led the team scoring 36 goals while adding 11 assists, earned Third Team All-CNE for her efforts, while senior goalie Vivi Helquist rounds out the list of award winners, earning Community Service Team while making 111 saves and leading the squad to three wins throughout the season.
For men's tennis, Maitreya Abend was named to the CNE Community Service Team for his outstanding contribution to the Curry men's tennis team throughout the season.
