Nicole Hudson Named Rookie and Offensive Player of the Week
Milton, MA - The Conference of New England named their weekly award winners on Tuesday, and Women's Soccer's Nicole Hudson was named both the Offensive and Rookie Player of the Week.
The freshman from Oakdale, CT made a great first impression, scoring four goals in her collegiate debut on Saturday against Mass. Maritime. The four-goal performance, which featured a first half hat trick, tied the program record for goals in a game. First done in 1984, twice by Jennie Rothery, it was just the seventh time a player has scored four goals in program history, and just the fourth player to do it. The last player to do it was Tayla Randall in a 10-0 win over Eastern Nazarene on September 5, 2019.
Dating back to 2009, Hudson is just the fourth player in program history to be named the conference player of the week, and first since Shannon Folan in 2023.
Likewise, she is just the seventh player to be named the conference rookie of the week, and first since Abby Corcoran in 2023. She is the first player to be named both rookie and player of the week.
