Bristol, RI - The Curry Women's Tennis fell to Roger Williams on Tuesday in their season opener, 7-0. The Colonels are 0-1, while the Hawks are 5-0.
With a team that has no returners on it, and many players who had not played tennis prior to this season, the Colonels struggled against the Hawks, losing all three doubles matches 6-0.
It was the same story for five of the singles matches. But freshman Phoebe Sartory, one of two Curry Women's Lacrosse players on the tennis team, was thrust into the #1 singles match, and she was able to win a game, falling 6-1, 6-0.
Up Next - The Colonels will host their first home match of the season on Saturday, when they host WNE at 12pm.
