Track and Field Competes in First Ever Meet
Wenham, MA - The Curry Track & Field team competed in their first ever meet on Friday, which took place at Gordon College.
In the men's high jump, Eli Arriaga finished second with a mark of 1.78m. Arriaga then finished sixth in the triple jump with a result of 11.68m
Theo Joseph-Seale took third in the hammer throw with a toss of 40.71m. He also took third in the shot put with a mark of 13.06m.
Morgan Slough took fourth in the women's shot put with a throw of 9.39m. On the track she then finished 8th in the 200m dash with a time of 28.25. Her teammate on the hockey team, Sarah Kerr, finished 17th in the 800m run with a time of 2:56.10.
On the track, the Colonels saw their cross country athletes perform well, with Blaise Denson finishing fourth in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:21.40. Behind him in 12th was Alex Nason with a time of 4:35.55. Linus Kiser finished 7th in the 800m run with a time of 2:09.31.
Up Next - The Colonels will look to better their marks next Saturday, April 4th at the Jim Sheehan Invitational at Fitchburg State.
