Chicopee, MA - The Curry Women's Volleyball team fell in straight sets on Thursday against Elms, losing 25-12, 25-18, 25-12. The Colonels are now 1-2 on the season, while the Blazers are 2-0. Elms now leads the all-time series 3-1.
The Colonels struggled in the first set, attacking at a -.211 hitting percentage, only converting for three kills. They would turn things around in the second set, hitting at .174, but a third set in the negatives would ultimately doom them.
Junior Morgan Kramer led the team with five kills, doing so on 27 attacks. Right behind her was Ciara Crayton with four. Jasmyne Fillippini eclipsed 10 set assists for just the second time in her career, matching her career high of 11. Sonja Matheson led the team with nine digs.
