Biddeford, ME - The Curry Women's Volleyball team was defeated by UNE on Tuesday, falling in three sets by a score of 25-20, 25-12, 25-18. The Colonels are now 4-9 overall, and 0-2 in CNE play. The Nor'easters are now 7-7 and 1-1.
Curry got up 8-5 in the first set, but UNE would go on a run, and eventually take the set 25-20. After a second set that was all UNE, the Colonels kept the third set close for a little bit, but ultimately dropped it.
The Colonels were led by Meghan Abbott's nine kills, followed by Kyla Martin with six. Jasmyne Fillippini directed the offense with 21 set assists. Senior Sonja Matheson led the team with 12 digs, one more than Kyla Martin's 11.
Up Next - The Colonels will look to bounce back on Thursday when they host Albertus Magnus at 7pm.
