SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Curry College women's cross country team placed 13^th overall out of 22 teams on Saturday morning in the Western New England Invitational.

Salve Regina placed first with an overall score of 55 points. Curry placed 13^th overall with a team score of 380 points.

Curry was led by sophomore Leigha Sweeney (Braintree, Mass.) who placed 67^th with a time of 22:00.  Sweeney was followed by freshman Abigail Ceresi (North Kingstown, R.I.), 22:33 (81^st), sophomore Megan Erickson (Westbrook, Conn.), 23:15 (96^th), freshman Lydia Hixson (West Hartford, Conn.), 23:17 (97^th), freshman Emily Purdee (Franklin, Mass.), 24:59 (138^th), senior Molly Simon (Moraga, Calif.), 25:20 (144^th) and sophomore Shannon Hickey (Salem, N.H.).

The Colonels next meet is on Saturday, November 2, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship (TBA) at 12:00 p.m.
