Boston, MA - The Curry Men's Hockey team fell in a CNE game on Friday at Suffolk 5-0, falling to 15-8-1 on the season, and 12-6-1 in CNE play. The Rams are now 16-7-1 and 15-3-1. With the loss, the Colonels are locked into the #4 seed in the CNE playoffs, and will host a quarterfinals game on Wednesday, where they will host Nichols.
After a scoreless first period that saw the Colonels outshoot the Rams, Suffolk scored three times in the second period. This was despite Curry outshooting them 13-6 in the period. They then added two more late in the third to win 5-0.
Curry outshot the Rams 33-25, while Suffolk won the faceoff battle 35-31.
Curry goalie Cam Smith stopped 20 of the 25 shots he faced.
Up Next - The Colonels will look to break a four game winless streak in their regular season finale on Saturday, as they host Suffolk at 3pm for Senior Day.
