MILTON, Mass. – JJ Hallissey '09 is the next to be featured in our Alumni Spotlight series. He was a Criminal Justice major and a member of the Curry College men's soccer program.

List all postgraduate degrees you have obtained (include institution): Juris Doctor - Massachusetts School of Law

Current place of employment: Trial Court of the Commonwealth

Current job title and what does that position entail? Assistant Judicial Case Manager

How did being a student-athlete at Curry assist in preparing you for your career? It prepared me by training me to multi-task assignments at a high level. It also trained me to be a leader and to provide others with a sense of pride in what they do on and off the field.

What piece of advice would you have for current Curry College student-athletes? Prioritize your education over athletics above everything. Also, enjoy every minute of your career as a student-athlete because before you know it the final whistle will blow and you want to be able to say that you gave it everything you had.

What is your most fond memory of Curry College Athletics? My senior season and finishing with the winningest record in Curry College men's soccer history.

 What would you say were your greatest athletic and academic accomplishments at Curry College? Being nominated to the All-New England All-Star Team.

Why did you choose Curry College? Proximity to my family, size of the school, and recommendations from other alumni.
