SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Curry College freshman Peyton Perine (Fairfax, Va.) was named as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) and the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Rookie of the Week as announced on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.

Perine put up a double-double of 22 points and 16 rebounds in the Colonels 67-63 non-conference win over Fitchburg State this week. She shot 42.1 percent (8-for-19) from the field and contributed two assists and two steals.
