Pawtucket, RI - The Curry Women's Hockey team fell in overtime to Johnson and Wales on Saturday, with the lone goal being the OT decider, as the Colonels lost 1-0. They are now 5-2-1 on the season, and 3-2-1 in CNE play. The Wildcats now sit at 4-2-0 and 3-1-0.
Overall it was a very even game with each team attempting 28 shots. The Wildcats had a slight faceoff advantage winning 31-25. Ultimately, it was penalties that killed the Colonels, as the Wildcats scored 90 seconds into OT after a Bella Mardesich penalty for hooking just seconds into the extra period.
In net Coriann Hoag was great, allowing just the one goal on 28 shots, stopping 27.
Up Next - The Colonels will have some time off for Thanksgiving, returning to the ice on December 5th to take on Amherst, who is nationally ranked.
