Women's Lacrosse Trio Garners All-Conference Recognition
MILTON, Mass. – Three members of the Curry College women's lacrosse team were named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) All-Conference teams on Thursday afternoon, as announced by the league in its release of annual awards.
Senior Colleen Donnelly (Atkinson, N.H.) earned a spot on the Second Team while freshman Chloe Chevrier (West Suffield, Conn.) and junior Sharon Doherty (North Easton, Mass.) both landed on the Third Team. All awards were determined by a vote of the league's head coaches.
Donnelly, who was an all-conference selection in 2018, was one of three midfielders named to the Second Team. She played in seven games, making seven starts. Additionally, ranked 10th in the conference with 13 ground balls while registering 11 draw controls and seven caused turnovers.
Chevrier lands the Third Team nod following a regular season where she played in and started all eight games. Chevrier racked up 14 goals, 14 ground balls, 19 draw controls, and four caused turnovers. Her 19 draw controls paced the Colonels.
Doherty joins Chevrier as one of three attack selections on the Third Team. She appeared in all eight games and registered a team-high 18 goals to go along with one assist. Doherty also registered 19 ground balls, 15 draw controls, and 12 caused turnovers. She ranked 11th in the conference in points (19) and 10th in goals (18).
Curry finished the season with an overall record of 2-6 with an identical mark in league play.
