Mia was born in Boston, Mass., and is majoring in criminal justice & criminology at Curry, with a minor in forensic investigations...the daughter of Juan Rivera and Sarah Sevieri...comes from a Curry athletic legacy, as her father played football at Curry.

Mia is a 2024 graduate of Stoughton High School...a three‑year varsity lacrosse athlete and four‑year varsity soccer player for the Knights...competed in the Hockomock League.
