FITCHBURG, Mass. – The Curry College women's cross country team opened the 2019 season at the Jim Sheehan Memorial Alumni Invitational at the Doyle Conservation Center on Saturday afternoon and placed 12^th in the meet.

Leading the way for Curry was freshman Haley Covillion (Bellow Falls, Vt.), who finished in 109th place in a time of 26:12. Following Covillion was senior Karina Murcia (Culver City, Calif.), who placed 115th in a time of 27:31. Junior Kelsie Rainone (Plainville, Mass.) finished in 118^th with a time of 29:21. Freshman Ariana Boostrom (Rockland, Mass.) placed behind Rainone in a time of 29:58. Rounding out the runners for the Colonels was sophomores Nicole Bobadilla (Marshfield, Mass.) (121^st place, 30:13), and Ashley Cloutier (Bridgewater, Mass.), who placed 122^nd finishing the race in a time of 30:14.

Curry will return to the course on Saturday, September 14 for the University of New England Invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m.
